๐Ÿ’ฌ What's New: Chat that keeps you in the loop

Hi everyone! ๐Ÿ‘‹

We've just rolled out a round of updates to the Community platform โ€” and this one is all about making it easier to stay connected without living in an open browser tab. Here's what's new:

๐Ÿ’ฌ Chat is smarter about keeping you in the loop

  • No noise, just news โ€” if you've already read a message browsing community via desktop, we won't ping you about it again. You only hear about things that are genuinely new.
  • See where you're needed at a glance โ€” conversations with unread messages are now clearly highlighted in your chat list, and your most recently active conversations always appear at the top.
  • Easier to follow โ€” message times now show in your own timezone, and timestamps only appear when there's a real pause in the conversation, so busy chats look cleaner. @mentions also reliably link to the right profile again.

โœ‰๏ธ Verified members from day one

New members now confirm their email address when signing up. It's a small step that makes a real difference: it keeps spam accounts out and ensures notifications and messages actually reach everyone.

๐Ÿ‘ฅ A fresh look for Groups

Groups have a new, cleaner layout that makes it easier to find what's happening and creating groups and events is smoother than before.

๐Ÿ”— Links you can trust

Links to posts and discussions are now cleaner and more stable โ€” copy one, share it anywhere, and it'll take people exactly where you meant.

โœจ Plus the usual polish

A batch of smaller fixes across the platform: correct event timezones, improved translations, and various visual touch-ups.

SOC2 and ISO27001 Certification for platformOS - easier compliance for Dedicated Private Stacks too!

We just kicked off our SOC2 (Type I in a month-ish - Type II in about 4 months) and ISO27001 compliance certification.

SOC
https://www.aicpa-cima.com/resources/landing/system-and-organization-controls-soc-suite-of-services

ISO27001
https://www.iso.org/standard/27001

Once completed, we are going to provide ALL of the learnings for Channel Partners using Dedicated Private Stacks, so they too can easily get SOC2 and/or ISO27001 compliance for their solutions, at a small monthly fee on top of the monthly dedicated Private Stack fee (as an optional add-on).

Everything is 3rd party Penetration Tested and 3rd party CPA Audit - this will be an ongoing process.

We will keep you posted and you will see the compliance logo's on our site in due course.

This is awesome. Congratulations, guys. I look forward to seeing how you go with this!

๐Ÿš€ AI Augmentation & platformOS blog series โ€“ Part 3

We've just published Part 3 of our Not a Cage, But a Compass series.

This time, we're moving from concepts to real examples. The article walks through four engineering experiments that helped validate the ideas introduced in the previous parts, and, in some cases, arrived at conclusions that the wider AI ecosystem later reached as well.

If you've been experimenting with AI-assisted development, we'd love to hear your thoughts.

Which use case feels the most relevant to your own projects today?

๐Ÿš€ AI Augmentation & platformOS blog series โ€“ Part 2

Part 2 of our Not a Cage, But a Compass series is now available.

This article explores a simple idea: sometimes the biggest engineering improvements come from removing the right things rather than adding more features.

Have you seen examples where simplifying a workflow made AI more effective, or more trustworthy?

Join the discussion, and let us know what you think.
๐Ÿ‘‰ Read Part 2 here

๐Ÿš€ AI Augmentation & platformOS blog series โ€“ Part 1

As we continue our AI journey, we wanted to revisit the first article in the series: platformOS journey towards AI augmentation: Not a Cage, But a Compass

It explores one of the biggest lessons we've learned so far: successful AI-assisted development isn't just about generating code, it's about creating the right environment to keep AI on the right path.

If you've already read it, we'd love to hear whether your experience has been similar. Have you found that supervision and validation are becoming just as important as prompting?

Read Part 1 here.

Parts 2โ€“4 are coming over the next few days. We're looking forward to continuing the conversation.

New article on our blog: MCP Solved Integration. We Solved Execution.

We've just published a new article on a question we've been discussing a lot internally:

What happens when an AI agent gets it wrong?

As AI agents become capable of taking real actions, governance becomes just as important as integration. In this article, we share our thinking behind pos-module-mcp and why we believe authorization, rollback, auditability, and human oversight should be built into the runtime, and not added later.

We're curious to hear your perspective.

Read the article here.

What's new: the Community app, push notifications & @mentions

We've shipped a set of updates that make the community the easiest place to keep up with each other โ€” no need to keep a browser tab (or Slack) open all day.
Here's what's new and how to switch it on.

๐Ÿ“ฑ Install Community as an app

community.platformos.com is now a Progressive Web App.
Add it to your home screen on iPhone, Android or desktop and it opens like a native app โ€” full screen, its own icon, no address bar.
It's the same community you already use, just one tap away.

Set it up in two minutes
Open community.platformos.com on your phone and add it to your home screen.
Step-by-step guides for iPhone and Android are linked below โ€” the last step turns on push notifications from your profile.

๐Ÿ”” Push notifications โ€” so the community reaches you

Once installed, Community can notify you on your phone even when the app is closed. You'll get a push when:

  • A new post lands in a group you belong to
  • Someone comments on or replies to one of your posts
  • Someone @mentions you in a post or comment
  • You receive a new direct message (rolling out now)

You're always in control. In your notification preferences you can choose exactly what reaches you and on which channel โ€” push, email or in-app โ€” per type. Turn on what's useful, mute what isn't.

๐Ÿ’ฌ @mentions, right in the thread

You can now pull the right person into a conversation with the familiar @ syntax. Type โ€œ@โ€ in any post or comment, pick a member of that group, and they'll get a notification that links them straight to the exact comment in the thread โ€” so the right people never miss the discussions meant for them.

Kept relevant on purpose
You can mention anyone in the group where the post lives, and mentions are scoped to that group โ€” so pings stay relevant and never turn into spam.

Turn it on

  1. Open community.platformos.com on your phone.
  2. Add it to your home screen โ€” see the iPhone or Android install guide.
  3. Open the app, go to your Profile โ†’ Edit, and turn on Allow push notifications.
  4. Try it: @mention a teammate in a post and watch it land. ๐Ÿ’›

c) Adding logs to a partial and refreshing it

Prod in Sydney. Is there something I need to change?

  • Adam Broadway

Thanks Patrick - more enhancements to the community solution are coming (push notification module imminent).
And we will be weaned off Slack completely :)

  • Adam Broadway

@Patrick O'Sullivan be great to get your feedback on the community functionality including push notifications

Leveled Up with pos-supervisor

I feel like Iโ€™ve leveled up over the past two weeks using pos-supervisor, especially now with Anthropicโ€™s Claude Fable 5.

The speed AND quality of work has been incredible. Fable 5 is showing how strong it can be for harder coding work and longer-running agent tasks, and pos-supervisor gives it the platformOS context it needs to be much more useful.

If you havenโ€™t tried pos-supervisor, itโ€™s worth testing on a fresh instance just to see what it can do.

Iโ€™d recommend updating pOSโ€™s AGENTS.md for your own project. No project is exactly the same, so itโ€™s worth reading carefully and making changes based on how your project works.

Fantastic Scott! Looking forward to seeing you in action at the next Town Hall.

When is the next Town Hall?

We would be happy to present something at the next town hall. Are we doing every 2 or 3 months?

platformOS Selected as a Top 10 Agency in 2026 by 50Pros

We're proud to share that platformOS has been recognized as one of the Top 10 Agencies of 2026 by 50Pros โ€” a global platform that evaluates exceptional performance across strategy, results, innovation, and leadership. This recognition is the most recent in a long series of industry awards โ€” and it means more because of who it celebrates.

50Pros specifically highlighted our AI-augmented tools for business owners and government agencies, the strength of our leadership team, the breadth of impact across industry verticals, and โ€” most importantly โ€” the growth achieved alongside our Channel Partners. This award belongs to the entire platformOS ecosystem.

From complex government platforms to white-label SaaS products, from community ecosystems to circular economy marketplace solutions โ€” our platform is the backbone for ambitious ventures that solve meaningful problems. Thank you for building with us.

As we look ahead into 2026, this recognition reinforces what we already know: the best is still ahead of us. Welcome to the community โ€” let's build it together.

platformOS Named Among Top 50 Innovators in the QBE AcceliCITY Resilience Challenge

platformOS was selected as one of the Top 50 innovators in the QBE AcceliCITY Resilience Challenge โ€” a program designed to identify solutions that help cities improve resilience, safety, and operational speed. platformOS qualified with its proven inspection and workflow automation capabilities deployed for government clients, including the Washington DC Department of Buildings.

Urban resilience is one of the defining challenges of the next decade. Cities need digital infrastructure that is flexible, interoperable, and built to serve citizens โ€” not constrained by legacy vendor lock-in. platformOS delivers exactly that: government-grade security, cloud-agnostic deployment, and the flexibility to build any workflow the city needs.

From housing shortage solutions to building inspection systems, platformOS is proving that platform engineering isn't just for startups โ€” it's essential infrastructure for the cities of tomorrow.

Reflecting on theNTWK Ecosystem Summit 2025 โ€” Barcelona

From May 22โ€“23, 2025, the platformOS team joined the global ecosystem community at theNTWK Ecosystem Summit in Barcelona. Held at the iconic Port de Barcelona, the event brought together a remarkable mix: experienced industry leaders, fast-growing start-ups and scale-ups, inspiring keynote speakers, and motivated students โ€” all united by a belief in the power of collaborative ecosystem thinking.

For platformOS, the Summit was a confirmation of direction. The conversations happening at the edges of the platform economy โ€” circular models, AI-augmented workflows, channel ecosystems, government digitalization โ€” are exactly the areas where platformOS is building capabilities and partnerships.

The most valuable thing about events like theNTWK Summit isn't the talks. It's the conversations in the hallways: the partnerships formed, the use cases discovered, the ideas that turn into products.

Looking forward to seeing more of our community partners at the next edition.

Introducing "Exploring PaaS for Dynamic Online Ventures" โ€” A Transformative Course at the University of Szeged

Building on the partnership with the University of Szeged, platformOS launched "Exploring PaaS for Dynamic Online Ventures" โ€” a full university course designed to give students hands-on experience with modern platform-as-a-service development. The course has since been relaunched with expanded content and a broader student cohort.

Students work directly with platformOS to build real applications, learning the core architecture โ€” GraphQL, Liquid, automated DevOps, multi-tenancy โ€” through project-based coursework. For many, it's their first exposure to industry-grade PaaS, and the feedback has been consistently enthusiastic.
*
The path from university student to platformOS intern to junior developer is a real one โ€” several students from this program have gone on to work with platformOS partner agencies directly.*

This is how ecosystems grow: invest in the next generation, and they'll build the future of your platform.

Empowering Collaboration: How Cybernova Studio Built Partnerhubยฎ on platformOS

Partnerhubยฎ is a dedicated platform for managing channel partner relationships โ€” connecting vendors, resellers, and affiliates in a structured, scalable digital environment. Cybernova Studio chose platformOS as the foundation because of its flexibility and native support for multi-sided network architectures.

The result is a purpose-built partner portal that handles onboarding, co-marketing workflows, deal registration, and performance tracking โ€” all on a single, fully customizable platform. No patchwork of SaaS tools. No integration overhead. A single platform that does exactly what the business needs.

Partnerhubยฎ is a great example of what's possible when you stop bending your product to fit a tool, and start building a tool that fits your product. That's the platformOS promise.

If you're working on a partner ecosystem or channel management solution, Cybernova's approach is worth studying closely.

How Platform Engineering Shapes the Future of Software Development โ€” as the Era of SaaS Comes to an End

SaaS had a brilliant run. But the same constraints that made it scalable โ€” standardization, shared infrastructure, vendor-controlled roadmaps โ€” are now its biggest liabilities. Businesses have outgrown the "one-size-fits-all" era. And the developers building these businesses are demanding more.

Platform engineering is the answer: building internal capabilities that give product teams self-service access to what they need, without creating bottlenecks or vendor dependencies. The future isn't choosing between SaaS and custom โ€” it's Hybrid SaaS: starting with solid foundations and extending exactly where your business needs it.

"You don't own the code or control the schema!" โ€” the hidden cost of SaaS that only becomes visible when you need to scale, pivot, or differentiate.

platformOS was designed for this transition. Composable, API-first, developer-extensible. It's SaaS when you want it โ€” custom when you need it.

Platform Engineering Face-Off: How platformOS Simplifies the Debate

The platform engineering conversation has gotten complicated. Internal developer platforms, golden paths, paved roads, PaaS vs. IaaS โ€” the terminology multiplies while the real question gets lost: how do your developers ship faster, and how do you reduce infrastructure burden?

platformOS cuts through the noise. Rather than asking your team to assemble a platform from dozens of tools, platformOS provides an opinionated, production-ready foundation: automated DevOps, built-in CI/CD, multi-tenancy, and cloud-agnostic deployment on AWS, GCP, or OCI. You get the benefits of a custom internal platform without the years of engineering investment to build one.

The real platform engineering debate shouldn't be about tooling. It should be about outcomes: developer velocity, deployment reliability, operational cost. On all three dimensions, platformOS wins.

Elevating HR Careers: How HR Jetpack Built a Custom LMS on platformOS

HR Jetpack is a premier learning platform for HR professionals โ€” offering 450+ live events annually, recognized as a Top SHRM Education Partner and Top 20 Professional Development Vendor. Behind this success is a fully custom Learning Management System built on platformOS through partner Platform Spaces.

The challenge: no off-the-shelf LMS met HR Jetpack's specific needs. Generic platforms forced students into rigid experiences. The solution was Spaces LMS โ€” a purpose-built LMS with exactly the features HR Jetpack needed, and none it didn't.

Zoom integration means instructors create webinars directly in their HR Jetpack account. Attendance is tracked automatically. Admin overhead is eliminated. The platform serves HR professionals โ€” it doesn't burden them.

DataOT: Redefining Content Automation and eCommerce with platformOS

DataOT is an Australian content automation platform built by a team with 20+ years of CMS experience. They've seen the pitfalls of WordPress (updates that break sites), the limitations of Shopify (locked-in eCommerce only), and the promise of a platform that just works. That platform is platformOS.

What makes DataOT special is its philosophy: designer-friendly, developer-focused, and built for SEO from the ground up. By extending platformOS with selectable layouts, dynamic views, and intuitive configuration tools, DataOT empowers non-technical users to manage complex sites without compromising design quality.

DataOT's insight: WordPress maintenance costs 3โ€“5x the original build cost over two years. DataOT on platformOS eliminates that overhead while delivering blazing-fast, SEO-optimized sites out of the box.

This is the kind of partner innovation the platformOS ecosystem was designed to unlock.
